Dear School Administrator
The CitC organization seeks to provide schools the best opportunity to comply with Public Law 108-447 that was signed December 8, 2004.In section 111 (b) it says, "Each educational institution that receives Federal funds for a fiscal year shall hold an educational program on the United States Constitution"CitC has pro-actively prepared quality lessons on the Constitution that are based on research of principles discovered by the Founding Fathers. Our highly trained teachers donate their time to educate students in these fundamental principles.
In preparing the lessons, careful attention was given to the Arizona Social Studies Standards in particular those of the fifth gradeas that is the medium focus of the lessons. The high school lessons include facts and information that will prepare students for the required civics exam. The lessons are dedicated to bringing awareness to students of the success of the Constitution in initiating the amazing technology leap.We would like to make this educational experience available to students in your school to help them prepare to become responsibilities citizens.
Our schedule is as flexible as your school would need us to be.We schedule with classroom teachers in a similar manner as the "Art Masterpiece" program, and come to the classroom one day a week for about one hour.We can teach one lesson a week for five weeks or on five consecutive days if preferred. We also offer a special one hour lessons to be taught for Constitution Day, Veterans Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day or for any patriotic general assembly program that your school would desire.
We advocate the educational philosophy of George Washington who said, "A primary object . . . should be the education of our youth in the science of government"We invite all school administrators to look over the material provided on this website and determine if our program would enhance your student's education on the Constitution and their civic responsibility.
It is our desire to meet with administrators to further explain our unique lessons.Thank you for your consideration of lessons being offered by Constitution in the Classroom. Refer to the "Lessons" tab to further review information on CitC lessons.
